Why I can't view video files?
There are two types of video formats used in this site, namely video streaming (.asf or .wma) which requires Windows Media Player, and quicktime movie (.mov) which requires QuickTime movie viewer. Broadband access is recommended for fast viewing.

Why I can't view Chinese Character?

At the IE tool bar, go to View >> Encoding >> More >> Chinese Simplified. If this step is not working you need to install chinese character support.

What are the Hardware requirements to run EduLearn portal?

Any system that is capable of running IE 5.0 for Windows computer and Safari 1.0 for Apple computer is good to run EduLearn.

Where can I get shockwave player?
There are some multimedia science programs created under Shockwave format which will need the latest version 8.0 of Shockwave player to run. Download the Shockwave Player.

Flash movies cannot be played.
You will need to download a Flash Player plugin for your browser.

How do I reduce video file size?

You can download and install Windows Media Encoder to reduce file size. Recommended file size to be uploaded to Edulearn is < 2 MB. Windows Media Encoder convert from .mpg or .avi file size to .wmv. Wmv format is suitable for streaming from internet. Read the instruction on how to convert video file size here.
