We have a new feature on Edulearn (in Course Package). Its called EduVideo. This feature allows teachers to very easily insert a library of educational videos to their course package.

Unlike browsing in the Learning Objects, the process of selecting video is very simple, there is also video preview. The videos collection (for now) are from the MOE ETD videos (the exact same videos that are in the edu-resource video server) that some schools has. The Videos are in FLV format, so it will play on Mac or PCs as long as you have the latest flash player installed.

Note: if you cant see the videos in the video preview but can only hear the audio, then you need to install latest flash player (it needs at least flash player 8)... so do inform your teachers of that.

For primary, subjects available are (Pri Eng, Maths, Sci, Social Studies, Malay, Chinese & Tamil)
For Sec the video available are (Sec Maths, Art, Bio, Chem, Chinese, DNT, Geog, History, Home-Econ, Malay, Physics, Sci & Tamil)

EduVideos - how to use it.

1) In Course Package > create a new course Using wizard or Non-wizard, when you add a new resource you will see a new resource called 'eduvideo', click on it.

2) Click on 'Browse' button

3) A Pop up appears, select the subject from the drop down menu, if the list of videos do not appear (simply click on GO) and the list of videos will appear, next click on a video to preview, and you will see the video playing. If you would like to use the video, simply click on 'Use this video' button.

4) to have a bigger preview of the video, click on 'Large video'

5) once the 'use this video' button is clicked, you will see this screen to confirm that the video you selected has been added.

6) Below is a preview of how the video will look like in the course package.
