Under
Create New category, you can:
- create your very own webpage
- include webcast (video)
- insert/embed games using our Gamebuilder tool
- insert YouTube videos
Let's learn each tool.
EditCreate New: To Add Webcast to Lesson
This tool allows you to upload videos to your lesson, as part of your teaching material.
To play the video, users need to have Windows player 9 and above.
Users can download Windows media player at the following link:

Authoring » Create New Lesson » Choose Webcast (under Resource Type)
1.1: Click on
Show Objectives, to type in your Lesson description for users to read. This objective will appear on Current Lesson page, where users are able to click on Launch to access your lesson.

Step 2: Click
Upload to upload your Video

2.2: Edulearn will display a confirmation page to indicate that your video has been successfully uploaded to your Lesson
Step 3: Click on
Launch HTML Editor under Description (screen is as Step 1)
3.1: Once description has been typed, click on
Save to save your settings.
3.2: Next, click on
Close Window to return back to Course Wizard page.
Step 4: Tick on the box if you want to allow your users to download your video as a podcast (Notice that your Description has been saved, in red-highlighted text)
4.1: Click on
Complete the Wizard to save your settings/changes made to your Lesson
Step 5: Publish your Lesson

EditCreate New: To Add/Create Webpage to Lesson
This tool enables you to customise/create your own webpage(s) for students to view as part of your teaching material.
Step 1: Click
Authoring » Create New Lesson » Choose Webpage (under Resource Type)

2.2.1: Different types of Target window display:
New window: opens a new tab or new window to display webpage
Top/Parent Frame: opens a new window and automatically displays on top of your Course browser window
Same Frame: opens webpage on the same Course browser window. To toggle back to Lesson, click on
Backspace on your keyboard.
For those who are more advanced, try using
Custom Target, which allows you to customise the layout of the webpage to be displayed!

2.2: To
save Webpage settings
Click on the
Save button, and once done, click on
Close Window 2.2.1: To

You will see the message (in red text as shown below) that your webpage has been created. Next, click on
Add to incorporate the webpage to your Lesson package

Publish Webpage in Lesson

EditCreate New: Embed/insert Games to lesson
For this tool, you are able to build your own games (based from our templates) and add in quiz questions as part of your Lesson.
Previously, Gamebuilder is an engine on it's own, but now it is incorporated into Lesson.
Start building your games from scratch!
Step 1: Start building Gamebuilder
Click
Authoring » Create New Lesson » Choose Gamebuilder (under Resource Type)
EditStep 2: Selection of Game
Based on the screen below, select the
Game genre followed by the
game type.
All games are specified to what kind of questions to be input.

Click on
Preview Game to view how the game works

Enter
Game title and
description
There's 2 ways to input questions into your game, namely
- Get from Question Bank : ready-made questions provided in Edulearn
- Create Your Own Question
EditStep 5: Select from Question Bank
Personal Bank: Every question that you had created in Quiz, will be automatically stored into your own auto-generated personal bank. Users from the same group (_schoolname) will be able to view each other's banks.
Edit5.1 Select Category (Level, Subject)
⇔ The number shown in the bracket e.g. Animals (22), indicates there are 22 questions in that category.
⇔ To view questions, click on

Edit5.2 Get Questions (from Question Bank)
Once Category has been selected, it will import the total number of questions available in the bank (as shown below).
Select Question Manually
Step 1: Under
Select Question Manually tab, click on

to select questions from Question bank
Step 2: Next, tick on the boxes for the questions that you want.
Step 3: Once done, click on
Add to List
Notice that under
Selected Question field, it will reflect the number of questions being added to your game.
Step 4: Click on
Import, to add the added questions to your game

Under
View My Questions tab, you will get to view all the questions you had selected. As shown in the picture (with details), click on the icons to
edit/delete the selected questions.
Take Note: Gamebuilder comprises of 11 different games. Each game requires a minimum number of questions to play. Look at the box (on the top-right column as shown below) to see how many questions has been added, and how many more to go.
Additional: To select from Sub-topics
Step 1: If you are unable to click on the buttons (as shown below) as the buttons are grayed-out, click on the title to open the sub-topics available in each main topic displayed in the Category.

Step 2: Next, click on the button and click on

Auto Generate Questions
Continue from the above 2 steps, next:
Step 1: Click on Auto Generate Questions tab
Step 2: Under
Questions Required field, enter the number of questions (remaining questions to make up for the minimum required needed) » Import (questions will be randomly generated)
